The first SPOT 4 image was taken at 9 h 38 min 26 sec (UTC) on 27 March 1998.
The scene comes from imagery acquired during orbit 113 by the HRVIR instrument no.2 with an oblique viewing incidence of 18.9°.
It is geographically centred over the Baja (Hungary) site, south of Budapest on the Danube river.
Its centre coordinates are 46°0450 latitude North and 18°4000 longitude East.
The digital product combines the 10 m resolution red spectral band (B2/M) with the 20 m resolution green (B1/XS1), near infrared (B3/XS3) and short-wave infrared (B4/SWIR) spectral bands.
The result is an M+XI product with a resolution of 10 m containing four images corresponding respectively to the green, red, near infrared and shortwave infrared spectral bands.
The cartographic representation corresponds to a projection onto a plane tangent to the centre of the landscape image acquired by the satellite, with the top of the image pointing towards the north.
The two representations of the same product correspond to the assignment of basic colours (red, green, blue) to the spectral bands of the digital image.
